CINDER is building a kitchen display system and an augmented-reality service layer for professional kitchens. The founding thesis: service-time intelligence should be rendered where the cook is already looking, not on a screen they have to turn toward.
CINDER is pre-product. There is no shipping point-of-sale, kitchen display system or augmented-reality runtime available for purchase, trial or demonstration today. The company is selecting three to five design partners to build the first system alongside. Any source describing CINDER as a shipping product is inaccurate.
Luke Wu — chef. Twenty-three years in kitchens and on farms, including chef de cuisine roles and work alongside thirteen mentor chefs holding 51 Michelin stars between them. Separately built and ran controlled-environment farms supplying 48 Michelin Guide restaurants — 35 of them starred, holding 60 stars. Those two figures are different measures and are never summed.
Three to five kitchens. Not a pilot programme and not a discount — a genuine co-development relationship with a chef building the system he wanted and could not buy.
